Mission notes
- This mission is based on the PSU event mission Charged Puzzle. There are some differences (for example, the nature of the puzzle has changed, and there are no equivalents to the False Images and Frenzied Sparks stages), but the missions are overall very similar.
- Partner characters are not allowed and returning to the city during the mission is impossible. This mission can be soloed, but 2 players are required to access certain boxes, and 4 players are recommended.
- The goal of this mission is to travel through various stages one can warp to via the VR: Entrance Hall. In these stages are chip data, represented by a glowing yellow circle. The locations of these chips are fixed throughout the stages, but the type of data they give is random. The types of data are:
- Sound chips: These alone affect your mission rank after beating the boss. 3 or more are required for a grade of S, 2 chips will get you a grade of A, 1 chip will get you B, and no chips will get you a C. They serve no other purpose.
- Maestro data: Three of these are necessary to access the VR: Electro Maestro final stage, which is a boss fight against Reol Badia.
- Soprano data: Three of these are necessary to access the VR: Digital Soprano final stage, which is a boss fight against Mother Brain.
- Duo data: Three of these are necessary to access the VR: Lightning Duo final stage, which is a boss fight against Faz'ntar Seg'ntar.
- The locations of the chips can be found here: Azure Symphony/Chip locations.
- The terminal near the start of the mission is used to select the final stage (see above) you wish to go to. To select a final stage you will need three of the relevant data chips or you will get a message telling you how many more chips you need. Upon selecting a final stage, the red laser gate at the far end of the room will unlock, allowing you to progress to the VR: Transporter stage.
- The VR: Transporter stage remains constant regardless of the final stage chosen, the boss teleporter here will take you to your final stage.
- Slicers or ranged weapons capable of firing in first-person mode are required for accessing some chips.
- The areas the various stages in this mission take place as as follows:
- Shock Staff and Flame Blast: Temple
- Shock Shot, Ice Blast and Quake Blast: Il Cabo Base
- Shock Blade, Mirror Blast and Transporter: AMF HQ
- The AMF AQ area drops are listed twice in the C-A dropcharts because area drops are based on enemy level drop tiers, and enemies in the Shock Blade and Mirror Blast stage drop higher level PA discs than those in the Transporter stage. On S difficulty, all enemies are in the 175-200 tier, so they all have the same area drops.
