Abilities
- Fly - Nano Dragons can use their massive wings to fly high in the air, where they are only targetable with certain weapons/skills.
- Homing Missile - Nano Dragons can fire a small projectile that locks onto a player. While it does not track a player for long, the damage is reasonably high.
- Focused Breath - Nano Dragons use their breath attacks in a number of ways. Focused Breath is always fired in a straight line, and is not moved from its original position. This attack does multiple hits, causes extremely high damage and almost always inflicts Zalure. This attack has incredibly long range, and can potentially fire the entire length of a room.
- Sweeping Breath - A variation of the breath attack. Rather than concentrating on a single position, the Nano Dragon moves to 'sweep' its breath attack across a room, scouring everything in a 60-degree or so area. This attack can hit multiple times (though usually doesn't, as it causes knockback), does extremely high damage, and almost always inflicts Jellen. Like the Focused Breath, the range on this attack is massive.
Strategies
Nano Dragons are to be feared. They are one of the most dangerous regular enemies in the game, due entirely to their breath attacks. When a Nano Dragon spawns, it usually begins immediately with one of the breath attacks (more often the Sweeping Breath), so you are likely to be in a bad condition before even getting close. Make sure to heal quickly - it is advised to use Monomate/Dimate/Trimate/Star Atomizers to heal against Nano Dragons, as Resta could potentially take too long. If hit by the Focused Breath, do not try healing first. Perform an escape roll to get out of the breath's line of fire and then heal. Attempting to heal while in the breath's attack range almost always results in death. For the Sweeping Breath, watch the direction the Dragon is sweeping from (as it can sweep both ways), and Just Guard before it hits. It is a good idea to block early, as the beam can hit before the centre of the attack connects. Homing Missiles are not much of a threat, and a flying dragon can be brought down with gunfire/TECHNICs. One way to take care of Nano Dragons is consistent use of disruption attacks. Nano Dragons fall over easily, and the less time a Nano Dragon is using its breath attacks the better. If multiple Nano Dragon spawn and you have more than one player, have each player engage a different Dragon- otherwise the breath attacks will begin to overlap and you'll be getting attacked from the dragon you didn't engage.
